About SLHS FBLA Organization

We are the Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) chapter at South Lakes High School, dedicated to preparing students for success in business, leadership, and life. As one of the largest career-focused student organizations in the nation, FBLA provides our members with opportunities to grow through education, competition, and service.

About National FBLA

Future Business Leaders of America is a nationwide student organization with chapters in thousands of schools across the country. The national organization establishes the competitive events program, leadership conferences, and standards that connect local chapters into a larger network of student leaders.

Members have the opportunity to participate in regional, state, and national conferences where they present projects, attend workshops, and collaborate with students from other schools. National FBLA also develops educational programs, resources, and initiatives that help chapters operate and grow throughout the year.

Through this structure, South Lakes FBLA is part of a larger community working toward the same goal: developing responsible, prepared future professionals.

Our Impact

Future Business Leaders of America at South Lakes High School empowers students to turn ambition into action. Through competitive events, leadership conferences, and community service projects, our members develop real-world business, communication, and leadership skills that prepare them for college and careers. From launching student-led companies and organizing charity fundraisers to competing on the national stage, our Seahawks prove that leadership isn’t about titles—it’s about making a difference. Every dollar raised, every project completed, and every lesson learned builds confident, capable leaders ready to shape the future of business and our community.

South Lakes FBLA Legacy Recognition Program

Building Leaders Through Action

Our FBLA chapter does not operate on attendance alone. We operate on standards.

The Legacy Recognition Program is a four-year performance system designed to develop disciplined, skilled, and accountable student leaders. Beginning freshman year, students build their legacy through documented action, measurable growth, and sustained commitment.

Recognition is not automatic. It is earned.

Highlights

  • Four-year cumulative point system starting freshman year
  • Points earned through competition, leadership, service, and representation
  • Clear performance standards apply to all members, including officers
  • Leadership Cord and Executive Stole awarded at graduation
  • System mirrors real-world accountability and business expectations

This program ensures that recognition reflects consistent action, measurable contribution, and long-term commitment.
